Funcity Skate offers two STEM Programs to choose from, making your next Field Trip a standout with your students. Each STEM Program is designed to be fun and interactive, but most importantly, educational. Each STEM program can last 30-35 minutes, followed by free skate time. However, if you would like the “STEM program” part of your field trip to be shortened, we can accommodate that. Below is a summary of each STEM Program.
Newton’s Top 3
Students will see and experience the science of motion like never before. Newton’s Top 3 is designed to demonstrate how Sir Isaac Newton’s Three Laws of Motion work and help the student understand how the solar system works and moves.
Facts of The Matter
The “Facts of The MATTER.” This unique and one-of-a-kind STEM Field Trip is designed to produce lasting results through creative and hands-on teaching. Students will learn about the different states and components of matter, from the polymer that gives skate wheels their traction to the bubbly fizz of carbonated drinks and the soothing glow of Neon lights. Using interactive examples and audience participation, The Facts of The MATTER will become a favorite field trip for your students.
With both of our STEM Programs, Funcity Skate wants to create a unique experience for your students and teachers.
$12 per student covers the class, skating (including skate rental), and a 16oz drink.
